Perinatal Services
With 18 years of nursing experience in maternal-child health, including antenatal care, labor and delivery, and obstetrical triage, I bring a unique perspective to perinatal mental health care. My background has provided me with a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and psychological challenges individuals face during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. I also have extensive experience supporting families experiencing pregnancy-related grief, such as miscarriage, stillbirth, and neonatal loss. This foundation allows me to approach perinatal mental health with empathy and expertise.
Preconception counseling
Preconception counseling involves assessing mental health, managing existing conditions, and offering guidance on the impact of medications during pregnancy. Services also include stress management strategies, emotional resilience support, and preparing individuals for the mental and emotional challenges of pregnancy and early parenthood. The goal is to ensure mental well-being and promote a healthy foundation for pregnancy.
Perinatal Mental Health
Perinatal mood and anxiety disorder management involves the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions occurring during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Common conditions include postpartum depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Management focuses on a holistic and patient-centered approach, combining evidence-based interventions such as psychotherapy, pharmacological treatment, and lifestyle modifications. Collaboration with obstetric providers, pediatricians, and mental health professionals ensures comprehensive care. Education and support for families are integral, fostering understanding and reducing stigma. The goal is to promote mental wellness, improve maternal-infant bonding, and enhance overall family well-being.
Birth Trauma and PTSD
Support for birth trauma and postpartum PTSD focuses on comprehensive, trauma-informed care tailored to individual needs. Services include medication management, and holistic approaches like mindfulness and self-care guidance. Trauma-informed care ensures a safe, empathetic environment that prioritizes trust, empowerment, and sensitivity to the unique experiences of each individual.
Fertility challenges
We provide compassionate support for individuals facing fertility challenges, offering resources and guidance to navigate the emotional and psychological aspects of fertility treatments and options.

Grief and loss
Services for perinatal grief and loss provide compassionate support to individuals and families navigating the emotional challenges following miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal loss. These services include grief counseling, emotional support, and resources to help process the profound impact of loss. We offer a safe, empathetic space for individuals to express their feelings and find healing, incorporating both individual and family support. Additionally, we provide information on coping strategies, self-care, and connecting with support groups.
PMDD and Perimenopause
Our approach includes creating individualized treatment plans for managing PMDD and perimenopause, incorporating medication management and lifestyle changes.

Healthcare Workers and Trauma
Trauma for healthcare workers refers to the emotional and psychological strain caused by exposure to high-pressure situations, patient suffering, and critical decisions. It can result in burnout, anxiety, depression, and PTSD, impacting their well-being. Supporting healthcare workers’ mental health ensures they remain resilient, effective, and compassionate in their roles, ultimately improving both their quality of life and the quality of care they provide to patients.
